Thank you Mayor Menino

On behalf of the Presentation School Foundation, we would like to take this time to send our deepest sympathies to the Menino Family.

Mayor Thomas M. Menino was with the Presentation School Foundationís movement from the beginning, and continued to be one of the most outspoken advocates and supporters for its vision to become a community center that would provide resources and services to the residents of the Allston/Brighton Community.

No words could express our gratitude for Mayor Meninoís commitment to ensuring the people of this community would continue to thrive despite the significant changes that have taken place in our neighborhood and in our city.

Mayor Menino was more than just our mayor; he was a friend and a believer in the resiliency and enduring strength of a people and their community. We are eternally grateful to him for his friendship, leadership, and the care he showed for the people of Boston.

At left, scenes from just a few of the many times Mayor Menino showed his support for the Presentation School Foundation Community Center. From top to bottom: At an early PSF rally in Oak Square; Hosting a graduation ceremony at Faneuil Hall for locked-out Presentation School students, June 2005; Groundbreaking ceremony, February 2011; Grand opening, May 2012.
